3Co Consultancy Services was established by Julia Erskine in 2019 in response to a growing demand for more energy-efficient homes on the Isle of Man and a change in Building Regulations that require houses to be built to better standards in terms of energy performance.

In 2019 the Chief Minister declared a 'climate change emergency' and implemented changes to the law to improve the energy efficiency of all new buildings to reduce the built environment's impact on climate change and our local community.

At this time, clarity was sought on how to best demonstrate compliance with the new regulations with solutions that consider good fabric standards (insulation, airtightness, etc.), low carbon technologies (such as air source heat pumps), and the use of renewable (such as solar PV).

3Co Consultancy Services has partnered with a local MEP firm to bring these new services to the Isle of Man for customers interested in building design and needing to comply with Building Regulation Approved Document L (Conservation of Fuel & Power).

Julia Erskine holds an MSc in Real Estate and is a qualified On Construction and Domestic Energy Assessor with Elmhurst Energy.
